Making your own jewellery is easy and fun!!!

I guess everyone has at least once been in a situation when you need to go shop for smth specific: a pair of shoes of a certain colour and style, a belt,  a shirt or smth else.  But when you are desperately looking for something you will never find it.I don’t know how about you, but it’s so true for me.  I personally prefer spontaneous buys. I would just walk around or be on the way to school/work/date and see smth through the window of the store, go inside, try it on and buy it. And this would be one of my most favourite things ever and I usually keep it forever.

And the worst is when you are looking for smth specific, you kinda find it, buy it, not because you love it, but because you really need it and you are afraid not to find smth better. Then you wear it once and you don’t know what to do with it after….

So, guess what happened to me before christmas? I was so busy with work and moving to a new apartment that I didn’t even have time to take a proper care of my Christmas outfit. So I was missing a piece of jewellery that would suit my dark blue+red+white outfit. And of course, I didn’t find it. But you know, what?! I found the solution right after christmas. If you can’t find jewellery of a certain colour/ style/ design, and if you have some taste and creativity, you can always MAKE your own piece of jewellery. And it’s less time-consuming and definitely more fun. Believe me! And the right place for this is Bidz (3945A St-Denis, Montreal, Quebec, Canada). Thank’s to my job I went there to film an episode about beaded jewellery.

Honestly, I didn’t expect to have so much fun. They have all possible types of beads: from seed beads to Venetian style glass beads.

And what’s the most fun about it, you can just come to Bidz, choose your beads (they even have special patterns for the beginners (depending on what you wanna make: a braslet, a necklace or the earings). And make you jewellery right on spot (they have all the necessary tools for it).

And if you need assistance don’t hesitate to ask very nice and helpful Stephan and Anne-Marie. You can also attend some workshops for all levels.

This is a necklace I made. It took me only 30 minutes. As a result: custom made jewellery. It’s very simple but nobosy else has it. And as a bonus, positive energy for the rest of the day.

Next time I’ll go there with a bunch of girlfriends for a fun afternoon chat and smth kinda handmade jewellery contest.
